Dhillon on Facebook and Fake News

Harmeet Dhillon Appears on FBN’s ‘The Evening Edit’ To Discuss Facebook and Fake News

According to Dhillon:

Let’s call it what it is, it is censorship and Facebook shouldn’t be in the business of doing this in the first place. What’s more laughable is the resources they are devoting are very small. Secondly, calling the weekly standard which is headed by notorious Never-Trumper, Bill Kristol.

The sheer volume for one thing, what are the standards? What is fake news? There is gossip and different viewpoints about facts from the beginning of humankind, and so without any standards it’s impossible to manage this. On top of that, an organization claiming Communications Decency Act 230, immunity has to be a neutral platform, it cannot be a publisher and it cannot take sides.

Of course he is [President Trump being right all along about conservative bias]. I have numerous clients, including James Damore, who can tell you about the significant bias against conservatives in every major technology company. Google is the worst, then Twitter, Facebook, and other. We’ve heard complaints. The amount of money they donate in the weeping by Google executives after the election and how they treat employees and how they discriminate. Everybody who has conservative friend and post on Facebook that a number of people are put into jail and time out. Ditto Twitter. And also these platforms are blocking conservatives in coordinated efforts, and that itself is going to raise anti-trust issues.

The type of disinformation I see spreading on social media is from mainstream news organization. Example: Elizabeth Warren story. I think everybody who’s objective can see that she is not a native American, but the mainstream media was pushing that on social media very heavily, so bias is very clear.
