Jessica A. Braverman
Jessica A. Braverman, Esq. excels at providing sound legal advice and counsel as both a preventative risk analyzer and as a litigation strategist in employment & labor matters. Her passion is to combine compliance with practical solutions and to provide a sounding board for decision makers. For 30 years Jessica has been licensed to practice law in California and before all federal courts. She is the former President of the Employment/Labor Section of the Contra Costa County Bar Association and a frequent speaker on an array of employment law topics.
Jessica was a former trial attorney for a major law firm as well as in house counsel for both an insurance company and a global telecommunications company. She litigates both plaintiff and defense cases. For the past twelve years as the founder and owner of the California Employment Law Training Center, Jessica has advised companies, organizations, non profits, union/non union shops, small to Fortune 500 privately held companies, public entities and mom & pop businesses on all aspects of California & federal employment laws. Her expertise in a wide variety of vertical markets including refinery, health care, construction, retail, manufacturing, telecommunications, veterinary, in-home care, and finance has proven invaluable to countless clients and entities.
Jessica has created and delivered customized management training courses throughout the United States, Canada and Argentina including Sexual Harassment Prevention Training. Jessica has also taught Human Resource Management, Business Law, and other business related courses at a California junior college.
Ms. Braverman has counseled employees separating from employment on their severance agreements and on unemployment claims and appeals and has assisted them in combating all forms of harassment or discrimination in the work place, negotiated with unions on behalf of Union members, and has led plaintiff litigation in employment and civil matters. She has also defended companies and organizations in both administrative agencies and court proceedings and has first-chaired several jury and bench trials. Jessica is known for fierce but fair legal advocacy and for being able to resolve and settle tough litigated cases, tracking jury verdicts and talking to former jury members and judges on how employment cases were ultimately decided.
