According to Dhillon:

What’s amazing to me is that we haven’t seen more action against these big tech companies from Washington, where even though Conservatives has been discriminated against like my client James Damore, who was fired from Google for voicing Conservative views. We haven’t used the last two years of Conservative dominance in Washington to open up investigations by the Federal Trade Commission. Department of Justice, or Congress passing some regulation to rein in these massive abuses of civil and privacy right. We do see that happening in Europe. However, some of the stories you just mentioned are emanating out of Europe where they have concern for privacy rights of citizens there. I like to see that more in America.

I think the Congress which Representative Gohmert sits on has had two years to do something about it. They need to redefine, but a lot of these companies have arbitration clauses and limitation of liability. Twitter has a $100 limit of liability.

To be clear, they double the number of Google employees protesting Google’s work for the Pentagon than they are protesting their work on China. I am impressed that Google employees are bold enough to protest what Google is doing in China. But I think it is also convenient for them to protest what’s happening somewhere else when they don’t seem to care about the welfare of theirt own fellow employees, what Google is doing to Americans by stealing their privacy, undermining them, censoring them, and tracking them. I think there’s massive hypocrisy going on.

I think it’s awful that American companies are shadowing and giving these data to China which uses it to punish people. China uses data to prevent people from flying, to put people into cams and prevent them from getting jobs. It’s outrageous that any American company would participate in that and that they are doing it for the unholy dollar.

It looks like the consideration of charging for the data in this story is from 2012 to 2014. They said they don’t currently do that. However, they follow the money. You have to understand, if you are not being charged for a product, you are the product. I think that’s okay for Americans as long as it’s properly disclosed. What is bad is it has not been disclosed. And there is no way to get it back. I don’t think there is a way for you to shut Facebook and then retrieve your data from them.
