Chris Halbohn

Associate

Chris Halbohn joined DLG in 2022 as the Firm’s first Texas-based attorney. After graduating cum laude from Tulane Law in 2018, Chris settled in the Republic of Texas. At his previous firms, he handled matters ranging from securities and complex litigation to environmental and natural resources litigation for clients in the public and private sectors, including states, territories, and companies. Chris is active in the Houston Bar and Houston Young Lawyers Associations, serving as a committee chair within the latter.

History

Chris also serves on the KIPP PALs board, a group of young professionals dedicated to volunteering, fundraising, and increasing awareness for the network of open-enrollment, public, and tuition-free KIPP charter schools across Texas. In his spare time, Chris engages in other forms of community service across Houston and Texas, studies American political history, reads literature, and revels in the stunning natural beauty of the United States.

Tulane University Law School, J.D. 2018 (cum laude), where he served as a managing editor on the Tulane Environmental Law Journal and coached the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot team.
